An early start catching the Berneray Ferry to Leverburgh at 7:15 am.
A beautiful ride round the coast of Harris. Sweeping roads, and panoramas of stunning beaches and seas.
Lunch at Tarbert, where had two lunches to get ready for the climbs afterwards. Good chance to restock with drinks, snacks and food for dinner tonight.
A gentle start after eating lots of well deserved calories, and then the biggest climb of the trip over to the Isle of Lewis. After the ascent, it was a steady descent and some lovely long straight sections bordered by forests.
Dinner at the Loch Erisort Inn. A friendly place where you will get local food and refreshments, popular with tourists.
I stayed further down the road from the Inn, at Ravenspoint hostel, off the Ballalan road – alongside the shores of Loch Eireasort.
